This page details what Gruppetto collects, why, and how you can stay in control of your data. It complements the "Personal data" section of the Terms of Service.
What data we collect
Your name, email, rider level, the meeting points you view or create, the content you post (rides, clubs, comments, photos), and aggregated usage data (pages viewed, active days) used only to guide the product internally. If you join through an invitation (an invite email or a shared link), we also record who invited you; that link is deleted along with either account.
Why we collect it
Only to run the service: create your account, display rides and clubs, send you the notifications you chose to receive, and understand real usage of the app. No data is used for advertising, and Gruppetto includes no third-party advertising tracker.
Who we share it with
A deliberately short list of technical providers, each receiving only what it needs to function: Google (only if you choose to sign in with that account), Resend (transactional emails), an S3-compatible storage provider (your photos), MapTiler (map rendering), Stripe (payments, only if you subscribe to a paid plan), Sentry (error monitoring) and Railway (hosting of the application and its database). Your data is never sold to third parties.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. You can delete it at any time from your profile: this erases your personal data, including from our internal statistics within the hour, except for what the law requires us to keep longer (for example, accounting records). Pages viewed and days of activity are erased after 25 months.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time from your profile or by contacting us. For users in the European Union, these rights are guaranteed by GDPR.
Cookies
Gruppetto only sets cookies strictly necessary to run the service (sign-in session, language preference, your cookie choice) and one optional cookie, only with your consent: if you arrive through an invitation link, we ask whether we can remember that invitation for up to 30 days so the person who invited you is credited when you sign up. Refusing changes nothing in how the app works. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Internal statistics
To understand how Gruppetto is used and where it is growing, we keep internal statistics, based on our legitimate interest in improving the service. We record the pages viewed (the country is derived from the IP address, which is not kept) and the days you use the app. For analysis, your identifier is replaced by a fingerprint that cannot be traced back to you without a secret key, and your home by an area of about 1,800 km². No result covers fewer than 5 people. Only the Gruppetto team has access. This data is never used for advertising or to contact you. You can object to it by contacting us.
